On October 24 on the official Nintendo Mobile YouTube page that had an Animal crossing mobile direct. Without further ado here is a break down everything the stream showed.
They star with a general overview of the game, where you are a new camp manager similar to how in New Leaf on 3DS you the brand new Mayor. As you go through the game you will be able to decorate the site how you like and different animals you befriend will come and visit. Using materials that you can collect and earn from completing tasks different animals ask of you. To get furniture you must have the materials first, then you call Cyrus to make it for you, and finally you put it where ever you want. If an animals favorite item is placed they will come and visit. if you don’t have enough materials to make the piece of furniture you can use leaf tickets which will replace one of any item you need, you can earn them or buy them with real money.
A brand new feature to the Animal Crossing series is a friendship level. You now can become closer friends with different animals you meet. Their friendship level will increase if you talk, but furniture they like in your camp site, or complete requests they ask you to do.
There are multiple areas in the game. These areas are Breezy Hollow (where you can collect fruit), Sunburst Island( where there are tons of bugs), Saltwater Shores(where you can go fishing), the Shopping District, and many more areas each with something unique to collect. You will be able to move between all of these areas in your camper. One unique item in Saltwater Shores is the throw net which you can use to catch a bunch of fish to make catching a specific one easier. In the shopping district you can buy from Nookling Global (exclusive furniture you can’t get from Cyrus), Able Sisters To Go (clothes), and Kicks (Shoes).
Your camper isn’t used for going between areas, you can also customize it inside and out. You can put what ever furniture fits, and go to OK Motors to make you camper look how ever you want. You can even add a second story to the camper to give make it even bigger. Though all of this doesn’t come at a cost, they take a page out of Tom Nooks book and charge you an arm and a leg for these customizations. To be able to pay off these guys will take time and selling a lot of stuff like Bugs, items you find on the beach, and minerals will get you Bells (the in-game currency). Another way to get bells is by completing tasks.
You can also make in-game and real world friends. This is possible by giving your player ID to a friend with the game. When you see them in your camp site you can buy their fish, fruit, or bugs. You also can visit their camp and see new items, and if you like what you see you can give them kudos, or be friend with them. Friending someone will give you the ability to visit their camp when ever you feel like it.
You also have the ability to customize how you look by gender, hair color, skin color, and how your face looks. You can make the character as similar to you as you want, or look nothing like you. Another type of items you can build are amenities like swimming pools, but it takes time to finish though you can speed up the process with Leaf Tickets.Leaf tickets can get you a throw net, honey to get a bunch of bugs, or take you to shovel strike quarry to get minerals that are worth a lot of bells. The game will get seasonal events, and limited time outfits and clothes. these will start after the release of the game which is going to come out late November this year.
